The ADOPT (Adoption of Levo-Praziquantel 150mg for Schistosomiasis by endemic countries) program is supporting PhD candidates in Kenya, Cote D’Ivoire and Germany. In Kenya, Alice Sinkeet (Executive Director, AIHD) has the opportunity to be among the candidates that are supported by the program. The candidates have formed a PhD club through which they hold monthly meetings to support one another in the development of the proposals and academic life in general. The club also provides a platform where the candidates are able to strengthen knowledge sharing and scientific synergies in their respective areas of study. Besides the individual research projects, Alice has been nominated for the TUM.Africa Talent program at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) during the summer semester, April-June 2023. The TUM.Africa Talent participants will benefit from an exclusive program on the focus topic of Sustainable Global Leadership and various networking opportunities.
