Janet is an Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialist with a lot of clinical and public health experience. She is a member of the Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Association. Apart from AIHD, she is also a board member of Bushiangala Technical Training Institute and Shiyabo Secondary School.  She worked with the Government of Kenya for more than 20 years before joining the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO). She has experience in planning and implementation of reproductive health programs including basic and comprehensive emergency obstetric care, family planning, PMTCT, post abortion care, cervical cancer prevention and management. Other than that, she is experienced in ensuring quality service delivery through support supervision of health facilities and application of various quality improvement approaches. Janet has participated in the development and design of various policy documents, guidelines, strategic plans and training curricula on maternal, newborn and child health, PMTCT, family planning, post abortion care and cervical cancer prevention. She has carried out assessments, surveys and evaluations for various RH interventions.
