Mercy Tero

Mercy is a Programme Officer. She holds an MEd in Educational Research and Evaluation (Catholic University of Eastern Africa, 2005). Her main research and programme focus is on monitoring and evaluation. She has participated in various studies on gender and development

Rahel A. Oyugi

Rahel is a Programme Officer. She is currently completing an MA in Sociology (medical sociology) at the University of Nairobi. She has extensive experience in field studies especially among the poor in both rural and urban areas of Kenya. She has been involved in research activities conducted by AIHD since June 2004. Before joining AIHD, she was a field supervisor for the African Population and Health Research Centre (APHRC) for over 5 years.

Sussy Nchogu

She is a Programme Officer with the AIHD. She holds an M.A in Population Studies (University of Nairobi, 2005). Her main strength is in Population-based surveys, analysis of quantitative and qualitative data. She has conducted research in Nairobi, Mombasa, Thika and Meru.

Wilson Gituma

Wilson is a Field Officer. He has many years of research experience in informal settlements. He is responsible for project activities in Mitumba informal settlement where the Institute is partnering with the community to implement health and development related interventions.

Josiah Kioko

Kioko is an Office Assistant. He holds KCSE and Computer Literacy (Nairobi Institute of Business Studies, July – November, 2007) certificates and has served in several organizations in the same capacity.

Gabriel Oguda

Gabriel holds a B.A in Anthropology (University of Nairobi, 2007). He is an intern at AIHD. He has been involved in health promotion activities at the Institute since July 2007. He is currently collecting data on the HP-SOURCE programme that aims to create a database on Health Promotion for Kenya.
